SUMMARY:Ballet: Love and Legends
DESCRIPTION:Ballet Tucson’s winter concert program includes dances set to the music of Tchaikovsky\, Bach and Prokofiev and the world premiere of Himiko\, based on the legend of that Japanese queen. Created in partnership with the Tucson Desert Song Festival\, this new work features the internationally acclaimed Duo Chinoiserie\, which combines the Chinese guzheng\, played by Jing Xia\, and classical guitar\, played by Bin Hu; soprano Erika Burkhardt; choreography by Ballet Tucson’s resident choreographer Chieko Imada; and the corps de ballet. Music is by Gabriel Fauré\, J.S. Bach\, Mathias Duplessy\, and a new composition by Yusuke Nakanishi\, partially underwritten by the Tucson Guitar Society. \n  \nClick HERE to obtain tickets for this event. \nPrice range of tickets: $30-$50.
